Luke Ryan started practicing the Jidokwan style of Taekwondo at River Valley Taekwondo in 1998 and holds the rank of 삼단 (Sam Dan, third degree black belt) from the Kukkiwon in Seoul, South Korea. He began teaching in 2004 when he was promoted to the rank of 일단 (Il Dan, first degree black belt).
Luke makes his living as a lawyer and is a part-time assistant at his fiancée’s pottery studio in York, Maine. He has two young sons who recently promoted themselves to the rank of “Ninja.”
