EVENING CLASSES
This is a general Taekwondo class and is appropriate for all levels, including beginners. Contents will vary and may include: technical instruction, stationary drills, moving combinations, sparring, forms practice, conditioning, self-defense techniques, or a variety of other special topics. Most classes include both group work and individual training guided by instructors and advanced students.
At RVTKD, black belts learn two weapons, the bong (the Korean term for a six-foot wooden staff) and the sai. It's very special for sai to be included in the curriculum of a Taekwondo school, since the weapon is usually associated with Okinawan/Japanese styles (and to a lesser degree, Chinese) but very rarely within Korean traditions.
